The menu bar will appear at the top of the screen throughout eCase.

Default home page where all of the cases assigned to you can be viewed.

Case Search

Detailed search area where you can search and view any case held in the system.

Online help menu for eCase.

Search for specific historical actions across multiple cases.

Batch Responses Batch Responses allows you to respond to a set of related Correspondence cases with a standard response that can be mail merged per case.

Bulk Reports Create bespoke reports using case data from eCase.

User privilege = Run Bulk Reports
Calendar Events View the bank holiday dates that are set in eCase to calculate the Case Target dates.
Case Anonymisation Add, modify or delete schedule for automatically anonymising case details for relevant case types.

Case Reassign

Ability to reassign multiple cases in one go.

User privilege = Bulk reassign cases

Case Retention Add, modify or delete schedules for automating the deletion of case types from eCase. Manually delete cases or retain multiple cases.

Dashboard

View the dashboard showing all open cases, the top 10 most commonly used Key Terms and a graph showing the number or received cases verses responded cases.

Digest Emails

Create and schedule public or private tailored digest emails – summary of cases or statistics.

User privilege = For public digest emails, you will need the Maintain Public Digest Emails privilege on your user account.

Document Templates

Add, edit and delete standard document templates that are used across eCase for assistance in responding to a case.

User privilege = Maintain Document Templates

Email Templates

Add, edit and delete standard email templates that are used across eCase to send internal and external emails.

User privilege = Maintain Email Templates

Fast Track Cases Fast Track allows you to log a case in eCase for audit and statistics without needing to create a full case in order to send a response.

User privilege = Close Fast Track cases
HoP Queue View recent PQ transactions from the Houses of Parliament feed.

User privilege = Manage the HoP queue

Key Terms

Add, edit and delete key terms which can be attached to a case. Key terms will provide similar cases to link to and relevant standard lines to assist in writing the response to the case.

Ministers Add, modify and delete Ministerial Roles and Minister details that can be used for PQ and correspondent case types.

User privilege = Maintaint Ministers
MPs & Peers View, add, modify and delete MPs and Peer details that come through the automated Houses of Parliament feed on a daily basis.

User privilege = Maintain MPs & Peers
Names Rules Create a new system wide Named Rule, modify Named Rules and delete them.

User privilege = Maintain Access Rules

Organogram

View the Organogram link and see the Organisation structure link.

NOTE: To edit the user's in the Organogram, you will need the View the Organisation Structure privilege as well as the Edit any person's roles privilege.

To edit the organisation structure, you will need the View the Organisation Structure privilege as well as the Maintain Organisation Structure privilege.
People Add, modify and delete registered eCase users onto the Organogram into their relevant team and assign them roles and privileges.

NOTE: to access the Organogram in order to edit a person's roles, the user must also have the View the Organisation Structure privilege on their user account.

If a user would like to add a non-registered user onto the Organogram, they will need the View the Organisation Structure privilege, the Edit any person's roles privilege and the Create people privilege.

Reports Access to management reports.


User privilege = Run Reports

Roles Add, modify and delete roles, along with adding and removing privileges to a role.

User privilege = Edit Roles

Standard Lines

View prepared text that can be used as part of a response to a case.

User privilege = Maintain Standard Lines

Statistics Provides an overview of statistics for the team. For example, how many cases are open/overdue etc.
User Maintenance View and maintain user accounts. Unblock users, re-send the account activation link for new users, cancel users accounts and reinstate user accounts.

New Case Use to create a new case on eCase.

Search

A search area where you can type in part of the Case Reference Number, Parliament UIN correspondence reference, correspondent name or correspondent postcode to find a case. You also have the ability to enter text into the Search field to find relevant cases.
