Reject Assignment (Hub Coordinator)
When a case has been assigned to a Drafter who is unable to draft a response to the case, is going on holiday and cannot take the case, or is moving team, they can click on the Reject Assignment (Hub Coordinator) button. The case will then be reassigned back to the original Hub Coordinator for reassigning to a new Drafter.
To reject the assignment, follow the steps below.
- Click on the Manage link in your My Work Workbasket.
- On the Create Draft tool bar, select the Reject Assignment (Hub Coordinator) button. The Reject Assignment (Hub Coordinator) pop up window appears.
- In the Hub Coordinator field, the name of the person in the Hub that originally allocated the case to the Drafter will appear. If you would like to reject the case back to another Hub Coordinator, click on the drop down arrow and select the relevant person.
NOTE if the case was not allocated to the Drafter by a Hub Coordinator, no names will be available in the Hub Coordinator drop down list. Use the Reject Assignment (Case Creator) button instead. - Optional. Select the Email Assignee tick box to send an email to the Hub Coordinator you have selected.
- Optional. If you would like to copy other people into the notification email, click on the CC Recipients tick box. Additional fields will become available. The Team allocated in the Case Details screen will automatically be populated in the Include People From Teams area.

In the CC area, click on the drop down arrow to select the people in the chosen team.
NOTE you can select other teams using the Include People From Teams drop down arrow. The new people will then be available in the CC area for selection. - In the Add Comment field, enter information that will help the Hub Coordinator to reassign the case to another team/Drafter. The comment will appear in the Notes section of Case Details.
NOTE if you have used the [[CASE_NOTE]] mail merge field in the Case Assignment Notification email template, the comment added in the Add Comment field will be added to the email sent to the recipient. - Click on the Submit button. The case will move to the Hub Coordinators My Work Workbasket. The Information column will indicate the stage of the case, Hub Allocation, and who the case was rejected by. The Hub Coordinator can then click on the Manage link and reallocate the case to a new drafter or reject the case for reallocating to a new team.
