Allocate Drafter

In order to generate a Drafter Target date, you will need to allocate a drafter to the case. As a Hub coordinator you can draft a response to the case yourself, or you can ask a user that has more knowledge in the investigation area to create a draft for you.

To allocate a drafter, follow the steps below.

  1. Click on the Manage link in your My Work Workbasket.
  2. On the Hub Allocation tool bar select the Allocate Drafter button. The Allocate Drafter pop up appears.
  3. Optional: If you have the Group/Team field, you can click on the drop down arrow to change the team you are reassigning the case to.
  4. Click on the drop down arrow next to the Drafter field to select the name of the person you would like to draft a response to the case.
  5. Optional. Select the Email Assignee tick box to send an email to the drafter you are assigning the case to.
  6. Optional. If you would like to copy other people into the notification email, click on the CC Recipients tick box. Additional fields will become available. The Team allocated in the Case Details screen will automatically be populated in the Include People From Teams area.

    email cc options
In the CC area, click on the drop down arrow to select the people in the chosen team.

NOTE you can select other teams using the Include People From Teams drop down arrow. The new people will then be available in the CC area for selection.
  7. Optional. Add a comment that will appear in the Notes section of Case Details.

    Add comment field

NOTE if you have used the [[CASE_NOTE]] mail merge field in the Case Assignment Notification email template, the comment added in the Add Comment field will be added to the email sent to the recipient.
  8. Click the Submit button. The case will have moved from your Workbasket to the allocated drafters Workbasket, with Create Draft in the Information column. The drafter is now responsible for gathering the information they need and drafting a response to the correspondent.
