Update a standard line

Once you have clicked on the Create button, any information entered on the standard line can be saved as a draft. In the Standard Lines list, the draft lines are identified by the draft draft icon. An approved standard line can also be modified.

To access the standard line and update any details, follow the steps below.

  1. To access the standard line, click on the name.
  2. To edit, click on the pencil icon next to the name of the standard line.
  3. To save any information entered onto the standard line, the Code and Valid from/to fields must be completed. Modify the standard line details are click on the Save Changes button.

    NOTE If you are updating a draft standard line, you will click on the Approve button.
    The standard line or template is now saved. Additional fields become available and are described below.

    Field Description
    Delete or Delete Draft Use to delete the standard line. If selected, a message will appear to remind you that the standard line will no longer appear on reports if it is deleted. Click the OK button to confirm the deletion. The deleted successfully message appears.
    Place On-Hold A standard line can be placed on hold. It will still be linked to cases or can be manually selected, but the on-hold icon will appear. Click the OK button to confirm that you would like the standard line place on hold. A message appears to tell you that the standard line has been successfully updated.
    Reinstate Once a standard line has been placed on hold, it can be reinstated at any time by clicking on the Reinstate link. The Standard Line has been updated successfully message appears and the icon changes back to approved.
    Audit Log The Standard Line Audit Log will track which user has modified the standard line, the date/time and what has been changed.
    View Standard Line text history The Standard Line Text History will appear when changes have been made to the text. The history link will track the changes to the text. Which user has made the change and what date/time it was actioned.
    Remove Link If a Useful Link was added, but it is no longer needed, click on the Remove Link to delete it from the standard line. A message appears to check that you want to continue. Click the OK button to confirm the removal. The link disappears from the standard line, and the + Add Link appears.
    Save Changes To save any details that have been modified, click on the Save Changes button. The Standard Line has been updated successfully message appears.
