How to view and search the email mailbox configuration

When you access the Mailboxes screen, you can view all email configuration for your eCase environment, or you can narrow the search down using different search parameters. You will need the Manage mailboxes privilege on your user account in order to see the Mailboxes link.

  1. Go to the More menu and select Mailboxes under the Settings column. The Mailboxes screen appears with the search criteria at the top of the screen and the mailbox results at the bottom of the screen.
  2. There are four search criteria that you can use. Choose one or more of the search criteria to narrow the list of search results.

    If you would like to… Then…
    Search for a specific email address or sender name Type the full/partial email address or name in the Email / Name field and select the Search button. The list of matching emails and sender names will appear.
    Search for the Mailbox Type In the Mailbox Type field, select the drop down arrow to choose the mailbox type you would like to search for. If you don't want to restrict the search to a specific mailbox type, keep the default of Any. Once chosen, select the Search button. The list of matching emails and sender names will appear.
    Search for mailboxes that are for a specific team Click on the Team drop down arrow and select the relevant team where you would like to search for email addresses available at that level. If you don't want to restrict the search to a specific team, keep the default of Any. Select the Search button to produce the list of emails and sender names.
    Search for mailboxes that are to be used for a specific case type Click on the Case Type drop down arrow and select the relevant Case Type. Select the Search button to produce the list of emails and sender names. If you don't want to restrict the search to a specific case type, keep the default of Any.
  3. To reset the search criteria to their defaults, select the Clear link.
  4. To view the mailbox details, select the email name.
