Respond to a QA via Email

If the Standard Quality Assurance Request email template is used, you can respond to the QA request directly from the email. Review all of the documents that are attached to the email.

If you… Then…

Want to approve the QA

Click on the Approve this draft response link. The Quality Assurance screen appears. You can:

  • View the case if you have an eCase user account by clicking on the Case Reference number link.
  • Add comments to your response by clicking on the add comments to your response link. The More Comments? box appears.
  • Type in your comments for the drafter.
  • If required, attach a document by clicking on the Choose file... link and click on the Submit response button.
  • Change your mind and reject the QA. From the original approved response, you will have 5 minutes to click on the change your response to Rejected link. If you close the window, you will have to contact the drafter directly to change your QA response.

The drafter will receive an email stating that the QA has been accepted and will provide a link to the case.

The drafter will still see the QA Accepted Information on their Workbasket.

Want to reject the QA

Click on the Reject this draft response link. The Quality Assurance screen appears stating that you have rejected the draft response, but it hasn’t been saved yet until you have provided more details. You can:

  • View the case if you have an eCase user account by clicking on the view this case link.
  • Choose the option of why the document has failed quality assurance by placing a tick in the relevant tick box.
  • Add in any comments that will help the drafter to amend the response.
  • If required, attach a document by clicking on the Choose file... link and click on the Submit response button.

The drafter will receive an email stating that the QA has been rejected and will provide a link to the case.

The drafter will still see the QA Rejected Information on their Workbasket.
