How to search for a case
Any case entered onto eCase is searchable, whether they are open cases assigned to you, open cases assigned to someone else or closed cases. There are two ways to search for cases:
- Search - a quick way to search for text across cases, whether it is a reference number, correspondent name or a word within the documents on the case.
- Case Search – a detailed search screen where multiple fields can be chosen to search for a case. Case Search will also allow you to:
- Choose additional fields to include in the Case Search screen.
- Save a search.
- View saved searches.
- Modify a saved search.
- Download the search results into an excel spreadsheet.
- Download all documents or documents from selected cases that appear in the search results.
- Reassign Cases from the search results. You will only have this option if you have the bulk reassign cases privilege on your user account.
