Linking PQ cases to create a Group

Parliamentary Questions (PQs) can be linked together based on the key terms you’ve tagged the case with, the MP or subject, or you can search for other PQs via the Case Search screen. Where multiple PQ requests have been received that are the same or similar, you can group these together to action them as one. The first step in creating the group is to link PQ cases together.

  1. Select a PQ case from the Workbasket by using the Manage link. This PQ will be classed as the lead case and will be the case that will appear on your Workbasket and answered as normal.
  2. On the left menu, click on the Linked Cases link.
  3. Any PQs that have the same Key Term, MP or Subject will appear in the Suggestions for Linked Cases area. If you would like to search for additional cases, click on the search for cases link which will open the Case Search screen.

NOTE Any case type that is using the Key Term will appear in this list, however only PQ cases can be grouped together for ease of answering.
  4. In the Select column, place a tick in the tick box next to the PQ case you would like to link to the lead case.
  5. Click on the Link Selected button. The selected PQs will move and appear in the Linked Cases section.Refer to the Link a Case section in the online help for details of how to link a case.
