How to use the Fast Track feature

To use the Fast Track feature, follow the steps below.

  1. Using your email client (i.e. Outlook), respond to an email correspondent using the ‘Dear [name]’ or ‘To [name]’ salutation and add the unique email of new.fasttrack@your-eCase in the BCC field. If a name is not included on the opening line of the email response, you will need to enter it later on when you use Fast Track to log the case.

    NOTE anyone can BCC the Fast Track email on a response email, as long as the email sending the response has an associated user account in eCase with the Create Case Privilege. Their email details will appear in the Email Sender field
  2. Sign into eCase. Refer to the How to Sign into eCase section.
  3. There are two ways to access Fast Track cases:

    - if there are any Fast Track cases, next to the Workbasket heading you will see the number of cases next to the Fast Track Cases link Fast Track Cases link on Workbasket. Click on the link to access the Fast Track screen.

    - go to the More menu and under the Management section, click on the Fast Track Cases link. The Fast Track screen will appear.
